INTERPRETATION OF SOLOMON ISLANDS
An island nation in the south pacific with 6 major islands and over 900 little ones in Oceania lying northeast of Australia. The capital is located on Guadalcanal-- a place where the USA and Japan had bitter fighting in WWll- the USA won. It was a British territory until 1975 and today is a constitutional monarchy with the British Queen as its head of state.
They got their name from their discoverer who believed this is where King Solomon got the gold for the temple.
Traditional culture age old customs handed down from one generation to the next, allegedly from the ancestral spirits themselves to form cultural values of the Solomon Islands. Only about 60% of children have access to primary education .
