INTERPRETATION OF JORDAN

A nation in the Arab kingdom in west Asia on the east bank of the Jordan river
With Israel on the west, it is a ‘crossroads” of Asia, Africa & Europe.

In the Bible, Jacob, renamed Israel after he wrestled with the angel of the Lord-- wrestled with this angel in present day Jordan.

two and half tribes settled in then land of Gilead, modern day Jordan.. Gad, Reuben & half Manasseh. God didn’t chastise them for settling in this good land, but commanded them to help their brethren take the promised land and stand with them against their enemies.


Elijah crossed the Jordan river into Jordan when he was taken up into the presence of God in the fiery chariots. Commentaries say that the prophet to Israel had to leave the nation in order to be translated to heaven, in order to drop his mantle to Elisha. 2Ki 2:11 And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. 2Ki 2:12 And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof

INTERPRETATION OF IMAGERY

“I looked over Jordan and what did I see? A Band of angels coming after me! Swing Low, Sweet Chariots, coming for to carry me home.”

They are still Mine, my chosen generations. to inherit a good land. My Glory reaches and fills and lifts up, there is a “portal” to heaven in Jordan, a place where double portion mantels fall.
